Requirements and Dues

There are three classes of membership: regular, affiliate, associate/student. National membership (for all classes) in the American Society of Women Accountants is a requirement for membership in this Chapter. By filling out this application and paying the amount shown next to the appropriate class below, you are applying/paying for membership in both the national organization and the local Central New York Chapter.

Regular Membership Annual dues: $122.00

  1. Qualifications:
    1. Persons who are actively engaged in accounting and who have two (2) years, or more of accounting experience may become regular members.
    2. Persons who hold valid CPA certificates granted by any state or territory of the United States, or the District of Columbia, or its equivalent or other accounting or financial certifications with similar education or experience requirements as determined by the national board of directors, may become regular members.
    3. Persons who have graduated from accredited universities, or colleges with a bachelor's degree and a major in accounting, or its equivalent, may become regular members.
  2. Regular members shall have all the rights and privileges of the Chapter.

Associate/Student Membership Annual dues: $41.00

  1. Qualifications:
    1. Persons who are regularly enrolled students in accredited post-secondary educational institutions, colleges, or universities and majoring in accounting, or a related field with a substantial interest in accounting may become associate members.
    2. Persons who are actively engaged in accounting with less than two (2) years experience, may become associate members.
  2. Associate/Student members shall have all the rights and privileges of the Chapter.
  3. Reclassification from associate/student to regular, or affiliate membership may be requested upon attaining the required qualifications.

Affiliate Membership Annual dues: $122.00

  1. Persons who are not actively engaged in accounting, but who have a substantial interest in accounting, may become affiliate members.
  2. Affiliate members shall have all the rights and privileges of the Chapter.
  3. Reclassification from affiliate to regular membership may be requested upon attaining the required qualifications.

If you cannot print from the web page, email the Membership Chair at membership@cnyaswa.org  and we will email, mail or fax you a membership application. All membership applications are processed through nationals.

Roster Updates

If you have a roster change remember to contact the membership chair or any board member listed in your newsletter. You should also go to www.aswa.org to update your information with the national organization. Click on the link e-directory and enter your last name and member number. If you don't know your member number they will email it to you.
